Hello and welcome to Maker Cottage! I am Sara, a 43-year-old artisan maker from Spain. If something can be shaped, stitched, woven, or thrown by hand, you will find it on my workshop table. I have an abiding passion for everything created manually with patience and intention.
Over more than 22 years of daily studio practice running craft ateliers and masterclasses in Spain, I have developed deep hands-on mastery across all three of our core disciplines: designing tested crochet wearables, throwing and kiln-firing stoneware pottery, and knotting intricate fiber arts & macramé.
I created Maker Cottage because craft instructions should be honest and grounded in real studio work. Every stitch count, clay shrinkage rate, and knot diagram on this site has been tested with my own hands. Pick a craft and make yourself at home.
